Uninstalling Sage Exchange Desktop

You can use the Microsoft Windows Control Panel to uninstall Sage Exchange Desktop or manually uninstall it if multiple instances are installed. Follow the steps below to uninstall Sage Exchange Desktop.

Follow the steps below to uninstall using the Microsoft Windows Control Panel:

  1. Select Start > Control Panel in Microsoft Windows to open the Control Panel dialog box.
  2. Click Uninstall a program (or Add or Remove Programs) to open the list of programs installed on the workstation.
  3. Locate Module SDK on the list then click Remove to uninstall it.
  4. Locate Sage Exchange Desktop on the list then click Remove (or Change/Remove) to uninstall it.

Follow the steps below to manually uninstall multiple instances of Sage Exchange Desktop:

  1. Browse to C:\[USER DATA]\Local Settings\Apps\2.0 on the workstation.
  2. Locate the installation directory by reviewing the contents of the sub‐directories, looking for the file SageExchange.exe.config.
  3. Delete the directory that contains SageExchange.exe.config and the subfolders.
  4. Delete all instances if multiple installations are found.
  5. Follow the steps in Installing Sage Exchange Desktop to reinstall Sage Exchange Desktop.
